Alcohol with JR water injection... what kind?

As the post says, what kind of alcohol does everyone use with the JR water injection? Is there any alcohol that is unsafe to use with the kit? What proportions do you use it? Thanks.

Anyone? As I understand it, using methanol is corrosive to the rubber in the system. Does everyone use denatured alcohol? or isopropyl?

I used denatured alcohol from Home Depot, ran it 50/50 with water/alcohol probably for at least a year before I sold the car. Worked great. Just make sure you don't spill any on your paint [img]biggrin.gif[/img] .

Thanks CPA! How's the ride? You picked up an STI right?

No problem. I've has the STI for a litle less than a year now or so. It's alright, I doubt I'll keep it as long I had the Integra. Lately I've been thinking about selling it and buying two cars, one to commute, one to play. Not really sure what I'd want though. Who knows! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] .
